What media do you use?

I work in a variety of media. Most frequently I enjoy using sculpey clay, traditional print making techniques, paper cut, or plasticine for my illustrations. Occasionally I work digitally, using Adobe Photoshop.

How much do you charge?

The cost will depend on the type of work you’d like. For example, the cost for an entire picture book would be much different than the cost for a small spot illustration. If you have a project in mind, please reach out and I can provide an estimate once I know what you’re looking for.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. Generally speaking, I require a 50% deposit to be paid up front before I begin working on your project. Once the deposit has been received, I commence working on your illustration!

If I hire you to create an illustration for me, who owns the copyright?

Unless specifically agreed upon in a written and signed contract, I keep the copyright for all my work, including but not limited to my illustrations, comics, and picture books. You may not use, reproduce or sell my work without permission. Sharing my work for educational purposes (i.e. if you’re a teacher and would like to use my work in a classroom) is permitted as long as I am properly credited and it’s not done for profit (i.e. using my work in an online course for which you are charging customers to view the content). If you would like to share my work and are not sure if you would be in violation of copyright, please ask first.
